Annually in February Camel festival renowned as Thousand Camel Festival is organized by a local non-governmental organization to protect and to preserve the Bactrian camel population, which has been steadily declining over the past ten years. This nomadic festival allows travelers a rare opportunity to interact with and learn about camels and camel breeders’ nomadic lifestyle. Highlights of the festival include camel race, traditional performances and competition and show of Mongolian national costumes dressed by local camel breeders, camel wool product exhibition, camel polo, parade on camels and nice couple competition. Of course, once you are in Gobi, you will visit to significant paleontological and cultural sites of the Gobi.
Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar city
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar city, Meeting assistance upon arrival by Blue Mongolia Tour agency representative and transfer to Hotel with 3 stars. Free time to adjust for time difference, Stay in hotel with 3 stars
Day 2: Omnogobi Province – Bulgan Village area
This travel will start in the morning earlier. Soar over the vast steppe on a flight to the mystical Gobi, site of some of the most important paleontological discoveries of the 20th century. Over the next four days, discover the Bactrian camels and local festival with hundreds of camels, Head to Bayanzag, also known as the Flaming Cliffs. Here, brilliant red sandstone harbors a treasure trove of dinosaur fossils and eggs. Look for fossils and hike down into the gorge to take in the breathtaking span of the desert landscape. Day 3: Camel Festival Enjoy Day
After breakfast, travel in car to Bulgan viilage area, where the camel festival will be held,
By 10.00-12.30 a.m - Camel polo game , By 14.00p.m - Opening ceremony of Camel festival and Camel parade. Competition of “The best couple on camelback”, by 15.00- Ankle bone shooting- Mongolian traditional game, By 17.00 p.m- Camel polo –Final game for Champion Local exhibition of children’s artworks “Camel- My friend” . By 18.00 p.m- Children’s concert, Stay in ger tourist camp
Day 4: Camel Festival Enjoy Day
After breakfast, drive to the main field, where the camel festival is going to be continued, by 09.00 a.m- Camel race. By 10.30a.m - Camel race. By 12.00 - Torom (2 years old camel) racing, By 15.00p.m- “Camel express” competition for herders , by 17.00p.m - Rewarding and closing ceremony
Day 5: Ulaanbaatar city
In the morning early fly to Ulaanbaatar back, In Ulaanbaatar the travel continues with visit to several places: Visit to Paleontology Museum offers nice chance to see petrified dinosaur skeletons and nestled eggs, Visit to Mongolian Last King Bogd Jabzundamba-XIII’s Winter Palace Museum, where is possibility to explore the temples and art works made by Mongolian artists, In the evening enjoy national folk performance concert with songs and contortion acts, Dinner, Stay in hotel
Day 6: Departure day
Breakfast, Check-out at the hotel before 12.00 noon, Blue Mongolia Tour guide and driver will see you at the hotel lobby and Make a Transfer to the airport/ train station, Departure

1. The maximum weight of loaded luggage for domestic flight and vehicle is 10 kg, hand luggage 5 kg. For overweight, each kg will be charged in 1.5USD. Extra luggage can be stored free at hotels in Ulaanbaatar.
2. Hotels in Ulaanbaatar city reserved on double occupancy, and in countryside all Ger styled tourist camps are based on triple or 4 occupancy.
3. Check-in at hotels is at 12:00m/Check-out at hotels is at 12:00m.
